Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Academic Program Requirements

The minor in Dance is specifically designed for trained dancers who wish to major in other fields of study but who want to continue to dance during their college careers. The program assumes that students arrive with at least intermediate level technique in ballet, modern, jazz and tap. Students without intermediate proficiency in one of these techniques may achieve it by enrolling in the appropriate beginning level class, but no beginning level class can be counted towards the Minor. Participation in the annual dance concert is assumed. Students must complete 27 hours of Dance classes. Admission into the Dance Minor is through departmental interview. Dance Minors are required to audition for the annual dance concert. Students must complete 27 hours of Dance classes.
