EDUC 355 - CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT FOR A DIVERSE SOCIETY

Hours: 3
This course focuses on establishing and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in early childhood classrooms. Topics include culturally relevant classroom management, classroom ecology, inclusion strategies, establishing rules and logical consequences, and building productive home/school communication. Through reading about theory and practice, students will be prepared to make decisions to construct a classroom culture congruent with their philosophy of education.
Prerequisites: EDUC 220.
Notes: Teacher candidates must receive a grade of C or better.
