Minimum GPA


A minimum GPA of 3.000 overall must be achieved.

Middle Childhood Education Program Requirements


General Education Requirements (15 hrs)


All MAT candidates in the Middle Childhood program are required to have 15 semester hours of general education coursework in the following areas. Some of the courses listed below also appear on the list of required professional education courses.

Arts and Humanities (one course)


  • INST 2200:2299

  • Other course from ART, DANC, MUSC, PHRE, or THR (must be approved by Graduate Program Director)

English (one course)

Professional Education Requirements (36 hrs)


A minimum grade of C is required in all EDUC courses.

Application for Degree


Prospective graduates must submit a Graduation Application to the Office of the Registrar during the term prior to the intended final semester.
