NURS 7627 - Quality Advanced Pharmacology for Nurse Anesthesia II

Hours: 2
Continued exploration of the pharmacological principles that are associated with the delivery of anesthesia. Concepts include pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of commonly used drugs in anesthesia and those agents used in adjunct during the course of anesthesia. In depth clinical reasoning will be used regarding the effects of anesthetics on homeostatic functions and their relation to patient’s state of health/wellness during the perioperative period.
Prerequisites: admission to the Nurse Anesthesia Program.
