EDUC 451 - INCLUDING CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM

Hours: 3
A study of children with special needs with an emphasis on preschool through grade three. Techniques of including exceptional children in the early childhood classroom will be explored as will an examination of assessment, the referral and IFSP/IEP process, working with families and the differentiation of instruction. 20 field hours and 20 clinical hours required.
Prerequisites: EDUC 220.
Notes: Teacher candidates must receive a grade of C or better.
