EDUC 370 - SECONDARY TEACHING METHODS

Hours: 4
A study of secondary school curriculum which focuses on short and long term planning (based on principles of best practice and Ohio Academic Content Standards), a variety of instructional strategies, classroom management, and formal/ informal assessment strategies. The course includes a minimum of 25 clinical hours in the subject for which licensure is sought.
Prerequisites: EDUC 200, Teacher Education Admission, and permission of the department. Corequisites: Appropriate field experience and seminar for licensure area.
Notes: Teacher candidate must achieve a grade of C or better and a positive recommendation to progress in the program.
