EDUC 6885 - Theory into Practice in Mathematics Education

Hours: 3
Studying the cognitive psychology of teaching and learning mathematics provides a partial explanation for how an individual develops mathematical power. In addition to this research, conditions for learning must include an examination of the contextual markers from current trends and issues in school settings. Together, elements of theory and practice will be analyzed, enhancing the potential to make a difference in the mathematical lives of students.
Prerequisites: EDUC 6880, 6881, or 6882.
