MBA 5640 - Leadership and Entrepreneurship

A growing number of people worldwide have a goal of launching a business and thriving in a free enterprise system. This course will examine the growing entrepreneurial revolution from several perspectives: understanding the actual numbers of such organizations and their impact on the economy, examining the trends that undergird theory and development of entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, analyzing characteristics common to successful entrepreneurs, and business planning and organizational design. Participants in the course will demonstrate their knowledge of the entrepreneurial challenge by producing a business plan. Class sessions will include presentations, guest lectures, and a high level of interaction among the attendees.
Prerequisites: Jr standing or above.
