EDUC 5470 - MAT: Internship in Special Education

Hours: 3
Graduate teacher education candidates provide specialized instruction in a special education setting appropriate to the intended area of licensure. They will reflect upon their practice and gather evidence of teaching efficacy. Candidates synthesize knowledge of assessment, planning, instruction, resource selection, collaboration, and legal and ethical practice. A weekly seminar supports the experience. Requires a 4-week fulltime clinical placement serving as an intervention specialist in a school setting. Prerequisites: EDUC 5350 or 5351, and current BCI/FBI background check must be on file in the Education Department.
