Historical exclusion of those seen as a “cultural threat” to the dominant social norms. Using the theoretical tools of cultural anthropology, we will approach recent political debates as an encounter between differing perspectives on ethnicity, race, and citizenship in the US.
Prerequisites: Junior standing or permission of instructor.
