Requirements in the Core Curriculum for the Religion and Philosophy Department:

Integrative Studies - 50 hrs
Foreign Language - 10 hrs
Mathematics - 5 hrs
- It is recommended that Philosophy majors take PHIL 125 - SYMBOLIC LOGIC to meet the BA Math requirement.
Health and Physical Education Lifestyle Series - 3 hrs
Senior Year Experience - hrs depend upon course selected

Requirements in the major (at least 45 total hours):

Value Theory (choose at least one):

Metaphysics and Epistemology (choose at least one):

Additional Electives:

Additional electives to reach minimum of 45 total hours with no more than 10 of the electives from among PHIL 100/120/130. At least 15 of the 45 total hours must be taken at the 300/400 level and in an Otterbein classroom.

Residence Requirement:

Must be fulfilled by all transfer students (see The Academic Program .)

Required total hours for the degree:

Application for Degree:

A prospective graduate must request an Application for Degree at the Registrar’s Office two terms prior to the term in which the degree is to be completed.
