MBA, Business Administration

I. Undergraduate Foundation Component (all courses required except as noted)

  • ACCT 2000 - Financial Accounting 4 hrs
  • ECON 2100 - Principles of Microeconomics 4 hrs
  • ECON 2200 - Principles of Macroeconomics 4 hrs
  • MATH 1240 - Statistics I 4 hrs
    Note: A grade of C or better must be earned in each course.

II. Major Requirements


 Note: A minimum grade of C must be achieved in ALL courses. However, a B average (3.0 GPA) must be maintained throughout the program.

B. Optional Area of Focus: The following Areas of Focus can be taken to complete the MBA program.


Financial Economics (9 MBA courses; 4 MFE courses)


This Area of Focus is a partnership with Ohio University’s Economics Department. The total program credit hours are 43 (27 credit hours ar Otterbein; 16 credit hours at Ohio University).

III. Minimum GPA


An overall GPA of 3.0 must be achieved.

IV. Application for Degree


A prospective graduate must complete an Application for Degree at the Registrar’s Office two terms prior to the term in which the degree is to be completed.
