Requirements in the Core Curriculum for the Music Department:

Integrative Studies - 50 hrs (INST 310 - ART FORMS: IMAGES AND IDEAS or INST 330 - THEATRE AND HUMAN NATURE must be selected)
Foreign Language - 10 hrs (at 110-499 level from same language); students may proficiency
Mathematics - 5 hrs (select MATH 115 - COLLEGE ALGEBRA if pursuing the Music and Business concentration)
Health and Physical Education Lifestyle Series - 3 hrs
Senior Year Experience - hrs depend upon course selected

Requirements in the major (70 or more hrs):

One of the following concentrations is also required:

1. General Studies in Music

MUSC 460s/470s in one performance area - must enroll each quarter
Music electives - 13 hrs (no more than 6 of these from ensembles)
MUSC 450’s (ensembles) - 0 to 6 hrs (must enroll each quarter)

2. Interdisciplinary Program in Music and Business

MUSC 215 - LEGAL ISSUES IN MUSIC
MUSC 490 - INTERNSHIP
MUSC 450’s (ensembles) - 0 to 6 hrs (must enroll each quarter)
MUSC 460s/470s in one performance area - must enroll each quarter, except internship term

Students in the Interdisciplinary Program in Music and Business must select one of the following minors:
