Integrative Studies - 50 hrs
Foreign Language - 10 hrs
Mathematics - 5 hrs
Health and Physical Education Lifestyle Series - 3 hrs
Senior Year Experience - hrs depend upon course selected

Requirements in the major (at least 55 hrs):

Foundation 100-200 Level Courses (15 hrs):

Pre-modern History: take one course (5 hrs):

Modern History: take one course (5 hrs):

Elective (5 hrs):

take any other 100 or 200-level course

Historical Methods (5 hrs):

HIST 280 - HISTORY SEMINAR

Advanced 300-400 Level Courses (35 hrs):

American History - take one course (5 hrs):

Asian History - take one course (5 hrs):

African History - take one course (5 hrs):

Research Seminar for Seniors (5 hrs):

HIST 480 - RESEARCH SEMINAR
Senior standing or permission of the department required.

Additional Advanced HIST Electives:

Take at least 10 hours to reach at least 35 hours at the 300/400 level.

European History - take one course (5 hrs):

Grand Total HIST Hrs: minimum 55 hrs required

Application for Degree:

A prospective graduate must request an Application for Degree at the Registrar’s Office two terms prior to the term in which the degree is to be completed.
