Requirements in the Core Curriculum for the Mathematical Sciences Department:

Integrative Studies - 50 hrs
Foreign Language - 10 hrs
Mathematics - fulfilled by completing the math required in the major
Health and Physical Education Lifestyle Series - 3 hrs
Senior Year Experience - hrs depend upon course selected

Requirements in the major (80-85 hrs or equivalent):

Notes

MATH 115 or 120 is a prerequisite to MATH 155.
A minor in Mathematics**, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration, or a minor in another field by approval of the department chair is required.
** A minor in Mathematics for this program must consist of MATH 170, 180, 220, 230, and two of the following: MATH 190, 231, 260, 305, 370. (Only one of 260 and 370 may be included.)

Residence Requirement:

Must be fulfilled by all transfer students (see The Academic Program .)

Required total hours for the degree:

At least 180 - also see exceptions/additional comments in The Academic Program .

Application for Degree:

A prospective graduate must request an Application for Degree at the Registrar’s Office two terms prior to the term in which the degree is to be completed.
