NURS 705 - Family Nurse Practice I: Pediatric Primary Care

Hours: 7
Clock Hours Clinical 12 hrs/wk. This course addresses diagnosis and management of common, acute and chronic health problems of children. The focus is on health promotion and health maintenance of children (e.g., newborns through adolescents) within the context of families, schools, and communities. Students will utilize research and theories from nursing and related disciplines in the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of children. Clinical experiences include practice in primary care settings that serve children and their families. Prerequisites NURS 701.
