CHEM 2600 - Environmental Chemistry

Hours: 3
An application of chemical principles to the study of the environment. This course covers the relationships between air, energy, soil, water resources, and humans from the perspective of environmental chemical processes. This course addresses the most pressing issues in environmental chemistry today, including topics such as atmospheric chemistry and air pollution; climate change and energy; water chemistry and water pollution; and toxic organic compounds.
Prerequisites: CHEM 1500 and 1510 with a C- or better.
