INST 3017 - Our World: The Biological, Geo-Political and Ethical Implications and Impacts of Climate Change

Hours: 3
Examines the biological impacts of climate change and considers ethical issues, consumer activism, domestic and international regulatory constraints, and political and corporate pressures on climate issues. Topics also likely to include food scarcity, greenhouse gases, species extinction, the lost opportunity to discover new species, the declassification of national parks lands, global warming, domestic and international conservation issues and what we can do about it individually and collectively.
Prerequisites: Jr standing or above, and a minimum of one course from at least four of the following INST threads: 2000, 2200, 2400, 2600, and 2800. Not open to students with credit for any INST 3000-level course.
