JAMC 3600 - Media Production and Audience Engagement

Hours: 3
Students apply skills in sports media production, audio storytelling, video production, website management, multimedia editing, feature writing, and social media promotion/measurement to develop, produce, distribute and promote content in the student media organization. Students are responsible for developing their own original content as well as for editing and publishing others’ work and promoting the broader student media organization. Students will work with their own primary production tools (video, audio, print) for individual projects, but will learn to support projects across media through management of the student media organization. In addition to hands-on production, students will also learn and apply knowledge of media law, ethics and management.
Prerequisites: JAMC 1000, 1200, 1600, 2600; and 1300 or 2100.
Notes: This course is repeatable.
