EDUC 5340 - MAT: Methods of Specialized Instruction for Learners with Mild to Moderate Disabilities

Graduate teacher education candidates engage in evidenced-based practices to meet the basic skill development needs of learners with disabilities. Course content includes inclusive practices, research-based resource selection, and specialized instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics. Emphasis is given to strategies to help children and youth with exceptional learning needs succeed in the general education curriculum. Prerequisites: EDUC 5100 and 5350. Clock Hours: Requires 30 clock hours of field experience.
