NURS 410 - SCHOOL NURSE SEMINAR

Hours: 1
The School Nurse Seminar is designed to complement and supplement the student teaching practicum. The seminar will explore issues related to the roles and standard of school nursing practice. Topics will include professional role of the nurse in the school, technology, legal and ethical concerns, diversity, collaboration, research, the well child, acute and chronic conditions of school age children, special topics and areas of management necessary for functioning of school nurses.
Prerequisites: Completion of Program Requirements for School Nurse Licensure Program; Permission of Instructor.
