MUSC 2003 - Introduction to Songwriting

Hours: 2
Techniques for setting words to music, creating harmonies to accompany melodies, creating written accompaniments for melodies, and composing in classical, folk and pop styles for voice. Setting lyrics as assigned to music, and working with original lyrics. 
Prerequisites: MUSC 1001 with a grade of C or better, and familiarity with basic music notation; or permission of instructor.
