FYS 1069 - How to Succeed in Business

Hours: 4
This course is designed for any entering Freshman that want an introduction to business and the effects business operations has on its leaders, employees, stakeholders, and the communities it serves.  To do this, students will be asked to create their “own” businesses and have a plan for business operation by the end of the term.  Through this semester long exercise, students will be introduced to the essential functions of running a business, the impact operations have on the local community and the communities it serves, the impact business has on the culture of the regions it markets to, and an understanding of the impact personal values and choices have on life choices - in all regards.  Throughout the term, questions of individual ethics and social responsibility will be presented and discussed.
