PSYC 2000 - Lifespan Development

Hours: 4
This course will examine human development throughout the lifespan, from conception through death.  Combining theory, research, and practical applications, the course will progress chronologically through the lifespan, with an emphasis on biological, cognitive, and psychosocial development during each developmental period.  Specific periods that will be addressed include prenatal development, birth, infancy, childhood, adolescence, emerging adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood, including aging and end-of-life issues.  This course is for psychology majors and also intended for students in health, athletic, and social service disciplines.  Majors may take either this class or PSYC 2310 but not both for credit toward the major.
