JAMC 4600 - Community Journalism Seminar - Writing IntensiveHours: 4 This course introduces students to a wide-range of advanced techniques for reporting, writing, and producing multimedia community-based news and feature stories online. Through a service learning relationship with a local school or community organization, students will develop in-depth knowledge, understanding, and involvement in the issues and systems of a single community. Prerequisites: 12 hours from the following: JAMC 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400,and/or 2200 as well as JAMC 2600 or permission of instructor. Notes: This course fulfills the dyad requirement when paired with one course from among INST 4045, LEAD 3000 and SOCL 3100.
