ATHT 4100 - Professional Development in Allied Health Professions - Writing Intensive

Hours: 2
The purpose of this writing intensive course is to introduce the Senior Athletic Training and Allied Health Major to scientific research in the field. Each student will identify an area of particular interest and carry out a mini-thesis as the senior project. Through this project the student will gain an appreciation for literature search and review, research design and the oral and written skills developed in research reporting. Through the research process, this course will pay close attention to the continued development and enhancement of the student’s writing skills. Particular attention will be paid to the discipline specific writing that needs to take place in the student’s respective professional field. Cardinal Experiences: Undergraduate Research. Corequisite or prerequiste: MATH 1240 and senior standing in the program.
