BIO 3440 - Animal Systems Physiology

Hours: 4
An investigative study of the physiological functioning of animal systems, and how these change under changing conditions to maintain homeostasis of the whole organism. Systems studied are cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, nervous and endocrine. Laboratories include the use of real-time computerized physiological data acquisition when possible, and virtual laboratories when living subjects are not appropriate.
Prerequisites: BIO 2030 with a minimum grade of C-.
Notes: Offered alternate years.
