EQSC 4100 - Contemporary and Emerging Equine Issues - Writing Intensive

Lecture. This course focuses on the controversial issues facing the equine industry. Topics may include cloning of horses, professional codes of conduct of veterinarians and trainers, the unwanted horse and horse slaughter, pregnant mare urine farms, rescue organizations, standards of care, rules of competitions, and social responsibility.
Prerequisites: Senior class standing or permission.
