MSAH 5000 - Research Design

Hours: 3
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the scientific research process in the field of Allied Health. It is assumed that students enrolling in this course will bring a variety of allied health experience to the class. Each student will then identify a specific area of interest and carry out a mini-thesis type of research project. Through this project the student will gain an appreciation for the literature search and review, research design and the oral and written skills developed in research reporting. It is also assumed that student entering this class will have a limited research background. Prerequisites: MATH 1240 - Statistics or equivalent.
